Built on Discipline. Driven by Heart.

πŸ“… Practice & Game Schedule

When are practices held?

  • Practices typically take place Monday through Friday

  • Most practices are 1.5–2 hours long

  • Practice times generally fall between 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

  • Final schedules are determined by each team’s coaching staff

Your athlete’s Head Coach will confirm the official practice schedule before the season begins.

Where are practices held?

Most practices are held at:

πŸ“ Pine Trails Park – Parkland, Florida

Occasionally, practice locations may change due to weather or field availability. Families will always be notified in advance.

When are games?

  • Games are typically played on Saturdays

  • Some travel within the Gold Coast Conference (Broward & South Palm Beach County) should be expected; there may be travel out of county for tournaments and scrimmages.

  • Playoff and postseason games may require additional travel

Game schedules are released once finalized by the Conference.

⚑ Safety First: Inclement Weather & Lightning Protocol

The safety of our athletes is non-negotiable.  In the event of lightning or severe weather, the Parkland Rangers follow the Perry Weather monitoring system and all City of Parkland field safety guidelines.

When Lightning Is Detected:

  • All activity will immediately stop.

  • Athletes must clear the field promptly and calmly.

  • Players and cheerleaders must go directly to their parent/guardian’s vehicle.

  • Families must remain on-site and available during all practices.

Parent Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the Perry Weather link on our homepage under Quick Links.

  • Stay near the practice field during questionable weather conditions.

  • Keep athletes safely inside your vehicle until:

    • The field is officially cleared by the Perry Weather system, and

    • Coaches confirm practice will resume.

Important:

Athletes will not be permitted to remain unsupervised under pavilions, trees, or open areas during lightning delays.

If practice is canceled, communication will be sent by the coaching staff. Until cancellation is confirmed, families are expected to remain nearby to ensure athlete safety.

Failure to remain accessible during inclement weather delays may result in additional safety measures being implemented.

Your partnership helps us protect every athlete on the field.

Safety. Discipline. Accountability.

πŸ“£ Attendance Expectations

Attendance at practices and games is important for team development and athlete eligibility.

Football players and cheer athletes are expected to attend scheduled practices, games, and competitions. Excessive absences may impact participation at the discretion of coaches and Commissioners.

πŸŽ“ Academic Requirements

Parkland Rangers participates in the Pop Warner Little Scholars Program.

All athletes must:

  • Submit required scholastic documentation

  • Meet minimum academic standards

  • Maintain eligibility throughout the season

Failure to submit required documents by the deadline may result in an athlete being withheld from participation until compliance is met.

  • Follow Pop Warner safety guidelines
